Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the effective management of concrete sales and customer service to residential and commercial customers for the Idaho Materials & Construction, Ready Mix Concrete division in the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley, Idaho areas.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Will be responsible for fulfilling customer needs and services
• RM Sales Rep will communicate with contractors, dispatchers and plant managers
• Will create accurate bids and proposals
• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and plans
• Will perform customer service in varying degrees
• Will verify sales tickets and pricing for customers
• Other duties as assigned per the supervisor

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One (1) to two (2) years related experience and / or training.

Knowledge / Skill Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of Command Alkon
• Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates
• Five years in concrete industry preferred
• Three years professional sales experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write clearly and effectively
• Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting
