Job Overview
The Clinical Supervisor, Behavioral Health positions applies psychological / counseling principles in assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management and consultations.
Helps in developing programs and provides supervision to clinic-based and / or school-based licensed and non-licensed social workers and staff.
Integrates behavioral health services into a primary care setting. Responsibilities include diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and discharge planning.
Provides a variety of interventions such as individual, group, child and family therapy. Interventions will focus on short-term problem-solving therapy, short- term cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, behavior modification, case consultations, and other evidence-based practice techniques.
Participates on multidisciplinary teams typically comprised of medical providers, nursing and medical support staff, case managers, administrators, managers and directors.
Collaborates with the patient for communicating treatment goals and measures of success by utilizing evidence-based outcome measures.
Attends various conferences and workshops related to mental health treatment and may participate in research studies, multidisciplinary projects, and attend community events / networking.
Minimum Requirements :
1. Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the California Behavioral Science Board.
2. Masters' degree required.
3. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required.
4. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children required.
5. Previous experience supervising MSWs and / or ASWs preferred.
6. Completion of 15 units in Supervision coursework.
7. Current CPR / First Aid Training certificate required.
8. Bilingual English / Spanish or English and other predominant language of population served preferred.
Compensation
$86,662.55 - $108,328.19 annually
