Adelphi is looking to recruit a Autonomous psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to work at a facility in Petersburg, Virginia.
The ideal candidate will provide virtual psychiatric services to adolescents and children and will conduct primary care screenings as needed at multiple clinics.

Requirements :
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia with a specialization in Psychiatric / Mental Health
- Autonomous Practice designation issued by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
- Must possess and maintain prescriptive authority in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- DEA License
- Valid VA Driver's License
Preferred :
Demonstrated experience in community mental health with persons with serious and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities :
- Provide consultation to agency staff about clinical and medical services.
- Conduct assessments / evaluations of psychiatric illnesses.
- Monitors client’s response to treatment including medication side effects and adverse reactions.
- Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapies.
- Completes prior authorizations and paperwork as requested.
- Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model, DMAS, and CSB policies, procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Provide consultation and guidance for Primary Care Screening and Monitoring
program.
