Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team in Otolaryngology at our Milford, Delaware location.
This sign-on bonus eligible position will care for the full range of pediatric patients. The outpatient opportunity provides the successful candidate with the ability to perform a wide spectrum of care in a quiet location with private office space, experienced and friendly nurses and medical assistants and an efficient patient flow.
The Physician Assistant will work in collaboration with physicians to assist with the overall care of the patients in Otolaryngology.
Full-time or part-time available.
Essential Functions
- Perform office-based procedures under the supervision of an attending physician, and may include removal of cerumen, assisting with flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy, etc.
- Triage and respond to phone calls from referring physician, patients and their families, allied health professionals, insurance companies, etc.

- Perform history and physical examinations, write clinical notes, and enter patient information and prescriptions into an electronic medical records system.
- Effectively communicate with the health care team, patients, and family members to consult, refer, and coordinate patient care and other service issues.
Requirements
- A current certification by the NCCPA.
- Have or be able to obtain an active Delaware (DE) Physician Assistant license and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR);
Federal Drug Enforcement Agency Registration (DEA) with Delaware address; and a current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification.
- Demonstrated experience with clinical procedures.
- An MS degree in Physician Assistant Studies is preferred.
- At least one year of related clinical experience is preferred.
