Position Information :
We are searching for a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Intensivist team. The NP will work under the general supervision of their Medical Director, all physician partners, and their APP Manager, in WakeMed Physician Practices to deliver competent medical care to patients at WakeMed.
This may include completion of referrals, consults, daily patient rounds, daily notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, pre and post procedure care, prescribing and patient care follow-ups.
Will work closely with other healthcare providers in a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to maximize the care we provide to our patients.
As a healthcare professional, will function as an educator for PA / NP / CNM / DO students from healthcare education programs.
Within this position the NP will maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Medical Board, Nursing Board and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed.
Additional certifications such as Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area of practice, this will be outlined in the clinical job expectations and reviewed annually during the annual review process.

Experience Requirements :
1 Year Clinical - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Preferred
Education Required :
Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree Nursing Required
Licensure / Certification Requirements :
Licensed Nurse Practitioner Required, Basic Life Support Required - Within 6 Months of Hire
