Job Description
Under direction, the Glazier Supervisor will supervise the activities of a crew of subordinate glaziers engaged in a variety of maintenance and repair projects at various locations in the city.
Important and Essential Duties
As a Glazier Supervisor I, your duties may include but are not limited to the following :
Planning, assigning, and supervising the work of glaziers at various locations.
Preparing labor and materials costs for formal estimates for various jobs.
Cutting glass at the shop for orders.
Requisitioning, receiving, checking deliveries of materials and supplies, submitting receipts and / or invoices for processing.
Recording time of employees and preparing reports on projects completed and materials expended.
Assisting in the development and advancement of subordinates through training and effective use of employee development programs including but not limited to performance plans, check-ins, and appraisals
Working Conditions :
Nature of work may require some physical effort and manual dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs and body; exposure to working conditions where moderately serious injuries may occur (conditions may include working at dangerous heights on boom truck, staging, and / or scaffolding).
Working in a confined space, jail or hospital setting may be required.
