We are partnered with a dynamic and growing firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering, including Architectural Engineering services.
Their expertise spans HVAC, power / lighting, and plumbing systems design for a diverse range of building types, including higher education, municipal, recreation, lower-level healthcare, retail, hospitality, and light manufacturing.
Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager with over 7 years of industry experience to join our team in Pittsburgh.
This role is pivotal in driving our growth in the region, including the development of new client relationships, the creation of a new office, and the expansion of our local staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet client expectations and project specifications.
- Develop and cultivate client relationships to secure new business opportunities and expand our project portfolio.
- Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems, including power, lighting, and other critical infrastructure for various building types.
- Collaborate closely with architects, building owners, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and effective design solutions.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for designing and drafting electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, contributing to the development of a strong, skilled team in our Pittsburgh office.
- Assist in establishing and growing a new office location, including setting up operational processes and staffing requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, with a strong background in designing systems for higher education, municipal, recreation, lower-level healthcare, retail, hospitality, and / or light manufacturing markets.
- Proven track record in project management and client development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage client relationships and guide a team effectively.
