ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips.
This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineering Manager 1 with innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory.
Candidate will manage a group of FLS Production Engineers with multiple technical skills in Mechatronics and Mechanical Competencies.
Role and responsibilities
- Responsible for people management and career development activities including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, coaching, targets setting and performance evaluation
- Responsible for managing a group of 12 to 15 FLS Production Engineers on 3rd shift
- Develop and maintain department Target Annual Plan (TAP)
- Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering group investigating technical issues both analytically using design documentation and physically with hands-on in a production environment
- Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering to disposition DNs / MNs within department targets
- Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering group supporting and maintaining module manufacturing processes
- Responsible for department KPIs development and maintenance
- Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering to support cross-sector team of engineers to converge on an overall design solution that addresses comprehensive production manufacturability with high level of diagnostics for troubleshooting.
- Represent and support First Line Support Production Engineering teams in progress reviews and cross-sector meetings
- Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering group supporting operations to deliver modules on time that meet high standards of quality
- Report production status, issues, gaps and barriers to Sr. Management. Timely escalate in case of issue that can’t be solved within the own circle of influence
- Drive internal DN / MN KPIs development and maintenance
- Support production Tier meetings especially towards structural solutions
- Support cross-sector teams to achieve high standards of quality for both product and tooling
- The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment : full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses.
- Working under ISO 9000 / 14000 standards).Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.Working around lasers;
working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
Education and experience
Education
Minimum BS in Mechatronics Engineering with MS or MBA preferred
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in production engineering environment for new products, including at least 3 years in a leading technical or management role
- Experience in developing Manufacturing readiness plans to introduce new products into Production.
- Experience in leading cross-sector teams to implement Manufacturing readiness plans for new product industrialization
- Experience in developing budgetary needs for facilities, capital equipment and headcount.
- Experience in managing new product introduction and industrialization
- Background in Mechatronics Engineering is required
- Background in test equipment / interface to data acquisition is preferred.
