Software Engineer Application Developer

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for top technical talent to join our team and deliver creative technology solutions for our Corporate Action applications.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 7+ years of application development experience overall. This is an onsite position in our Quincy Location.

This is an onsite position, working out of our Quincy, MA Location 4 days per week with 1 remote work at home day each week

Note : No visa sponsorship is available for this position

As a Software Engineer - Application Developer (Officer) you will :

  • Write application UI and backend code
  • Develop reusable components
  • Write database queries and stored procedures
  • Consult with technical team, SQA and business analysts on aspects of functional specifications
  • Identify and resolve application issues and bugs
  • Produce quality code within a reasonable timeline
  • Participation in design review and code review
  • Provide assessments of task duration, complexity, progress, and risk to team leads
  • Software configuration and build management
  • Conduct unit testing
  • Provide system documentation

These skills will help you succeed in this role :

  • Advanced development experience with REACT Javascript
  • Experience with JAVA development
  • Experience in Java, J2EE, Servlet, and JDBC
  • Experience with Spring Framework and REST Web Services
  • Proficient with Oracle DB and SQL
  • Experience with code repositories and code management (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to review and understand complex concepts at a detailed level
  • Ability to multi-task and to take the initiative when needed
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with all partners in the Software Development Lifecycle such as business and quality assurance

Additional requirements

The following are considered a plus, but are not required

  • Experience with API development
  • Experience with Agile
  • Experience with MQ
  • Cloud based development experience
  • Experience in the Financial Asset Custody Services Industry

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented individual and have a minimum of 7 years of professional software experience.

Salary Range :

  • $70,000 - $105,000 Annual
