Job Title : Clinical Director
Reports To : Regional Director
Direct Reports : Clinical Supervisors, or clinicians within the region.
Summary :
As a partner in building brighter futures for youth and their families, your role will be to provide clinical direction and other related technical and clinical support activities that align with The Village Network's Mission, Vision & Values.
Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities :
Manages all clinical functions within the region. Oversees all clinical activities related to all functions within the region including milieu approaches within Residential Treatment;
Crisis Interventions, Partial Hospitalization, Treatment Foster Care, School Based, Community Services and participates in on-call duties / rotation.
Assures that all clinical documentation and outcome measures are meeting expectations.
- Assures programs are striving to meet the Goals & Objectives from TVN's Strategic Plan.
- Assures that programs are implementing TVN's clinical models (TIC, NMT & CPS) with fidelity.
- Assures the use of high-risk interventions (restraints) are kept to a minimum through the Implementation of The Six Core Strategies to Creating Violence Free and Coercion Free Treatment Environments.
- Supports, directs and helps lead the Creation of Violence Free and Coercion Free Treatment Environments. Helps lead the reduction of physical restraints and other restrictive interventions throughout the region.
Participates in restraint reduction activities such as training staff in TIC, coordinating the debriefing processes, restraint reduction tools such as trauma assessments, workforce development and data analysis.
- With the Regional Director responsible for marketing of services and assisting with intake, referrals, and placement of youth.
- With the Regional Director, helps assure that the clinical services are delivered within established budgetary parameters.
- Oversees the communication between families, agencies, courts and other community partners.
- Interviews, evaluates, and participates in the decision process regarding candidate interviews for The Village Network.
Participates in the performance review process and staff development activities for clinicians.
Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Ability to use a computer; familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field; LISW-S or LPCC-S licensure required. Minimum of 5 years experience working in community mental health.
- Valid Ohio Driver's License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong time management and organizational skills; crisis management skills required.
Physical Demands :
- Ability to comply with The Village Network requirements for using restraints including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training.
- Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently.
- Must be able to remain alert to problems, needs or emergencies that might arise on any shift, maintaining a safe environment for the clients.
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
