Position : Special Education Teacher
Overview : ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Summit Public Schools.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
You will collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure every student receives the personalized attention and resources necessary to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varying learning styles and abilities of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
- Manage a caseload of around 27 students.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid California Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Special education credential (mild / moderate)
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Interview Process
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
- 20-30 minute virtual / in-person interview with school district
- Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview
As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
