The Job Details are as follows :

The Director of Delivery and Data Operations is responsible for leading and managing the organization's delivery and data operations teams.

This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of work, including project deliverables, as well as ensuring the efficient and effective use of data to support business objectives.

The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to align delivery and data strategies with overall organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership :

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the delivery and data operations teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Delivery Management :

  • Develop and implement delivery strategies and processes to ensure timely and successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues as they arise.
  • Collect, understand, and challenge level of effort estimates and timelines to increase delivery frequency.

Resource Allocation and Optimization :

  • Allocate resources effectively across projects and initiatives to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.
  • Implement resource management tools and processes to track and report on resource allocation.
  • Effectively manage the allocation of resources, including human resources, budget, and time, to ensure that projects are adequately staffed and resourced.

Stakeholder Communication and Management :

  • Act as a liaison between the delivery and data operations teams and other business units, ensuring clear communication of priorities and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and other departments within the organization.

This involves effective communication and understanding of their needs.

Performance Metrics and Reporting :

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery and data operations.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate progress and performance to stakeholders.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress and success and providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Process Improvement :

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance delivery and data operations efficiency.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making :

Being able to analyze complex situations, identify issues, and make informed decisions that drive the success of projects and initiatives.

Adaptability and Innovation :

Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the tech and data space and being able to adapt strategies and processes accordingly.

Qualifications :

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in delivery management, data operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of consulting or start-up experience
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, ScrumMaster) or data management (e.g., CDMP)
