Our client a world leader inlife sciences and diagnostics is looking for a" Lab Technician " based out of TucsonAZ .
Duration : LongTerm Contract (High possibility ofextension)
PayRate : $18 / hr on W2(DOE)
Responsibilities :
- Maintainslaboratory instruments and equipment on a daily monthly andquarterly basis.
- Preparesreagents and monitors instruments for bulk reagent levels.
- Ordersand stocks office and laboratory supplies and equipment. Performsonsite servicing and technical support of various lab equipmentincluding Benchmark autostainers.
- Managesincoming / outgoing stained slide and / or reagent shipments. Maysupport several different functional lab spaces andgroups.
- Performsdaily monthly and quarterly instrument and equipment maintenanceand cleaningtasks.
- Monitorsand maintains usage logs for all equipment and instruments.Monitors schedules and delivers portable equipment for calibrationand maintains necessarypaperwork.
- Troubleshootsminor equipment malfunctions by performing operationaltests.
- Monitorsand prepares bulk reagentsdaily.
- Maintainsstock room and monitors and / or orders lab suppliesinventory.
- Schedulesinternal equipment repairs and preventative maintenance asnecessary.
- Preparesand schedules incoming and outgoing stained slide and / or reagentshipments.
Skills :
- Attentionto detail in written instructions and documentation.REQUIRED
- Basiccomputer skills in Word Excel and Outlook.REQUIRED
- Abilityto use hand tools such as screwdrivers wrenches nutdrivers andvarious other hand tools.Pref
- Abilityto use test equipment such as flow meters pH meters precisionweight scales and pressure meters.Pref
- Knowledgeof and skill in inventory management.Pref
- Abilityto lift up to 45pounds
