Position Summary
This is paraprofessional entry level position in nutrition programs.
An employee in this class provides direct services to clients identified as needing nutritional intervention. Work includes in-service training, statistical record keeping, and case reporting.
An employee works directly under the supervision of qualified nutritionists, with an increasing amount of independent judgment.
There is a responsibility for a designated target area and specific caseload. All work will be under continuing review on an individual basis as well as through staff conferences.

Duties :
- Prepares appropriate demographic data on clients serviced.
- Prepares and distributes appropriate forms and / or materials to clients.
- Organizes and maintains an accurate record system.
- Perform screening duties as needed which includes weighing, measuring participant, and obtaining hemoglobin levels.
- Educate and guide participants with nutrition topics.
- Reviews and creates nutrition goals with clients.
- Distributes WIC benefits and educates clients about their usage.
- Participates in in-service training to expand knowledge of nutrition as well as program operation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Residency : Allegheny County within 1 year.
