Job Summary
The Director of Finance, Protech & Glass, is responsible for all financial planning and analysis support for the Protech and Glass business units.
This role involves collaborating closely with the business unit's leadership team to drive financial success, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy, and providing financial insights that support growth and profitability.
The Director of Finance will also oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management specific to the business unit.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Strategy and Planning :
a. Partner with the General Managers and leadership team to drive financial performance.
b. Lead financial planning and analysis for the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
2. Financial Reporting :
a. Prepare and present accurate, business unit-specific financial reports.
b. Report on financial performance to both the General Managers and the CFO, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting :
a. Lead the budgeting process for Protech and Glass, working with department leaders to develop realistic budgets aligned with business goals and overall company priorities.
b. Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying variances and advising on corrective actions.
c. Conduct detailed financial forecasting to anticipate future trends, challenges, and opportunities within the business unit.
4. Cost Management :
a. Analyze and manage costs within the business unit to maximize profitability.
b. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements specific to the unit's operations.
c. Oversee cost control measures and ensure they are implemented effectively.
5. Leadership and Team Management :
a. Lead and develop a team of 3+, including finance managers and analysts.
b. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
c. Collaborate with other Finance team leaders to grow and support the overall business.
6. Financial Systems and Technology :
a. Ensure financial data accuracy and integrity within the unit’s reporting systems.
b. Develop and maintain reports to guide business decisions. These include both PowerBI and excel-based reports
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior financial role, with experience in multi-unit and / or automotive services preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices relevant to the business unit.
