Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Hand Therapist based in our Center City Philadelphia office! This position will require travel to our office in Northeast Philadelphia as well.

Schedule : Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 : 30 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)

Job Summary : The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent, adult and geriatric orthopedic population.

Essential Duties :

• Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic, including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.
• Provides evaluations, treatments, and goal setting of patients.
• Custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints / orthoses.
• Evaluates patients' progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.
• Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members.
• Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.
• Participates in staff in-services, monthly rounds and research.
• Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.
• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Qualifications :

• Master's degree and successful completion of an accredited PT or OT school required
• Valid state licensure and CPR certification required
• Nationally Certified CHT preferred; OT / PT with hand experience actively working toward CHT will be considered
• Five years experience required
• Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office required
