Job Description : Position Summary
Position Summary
The Coordinator position within Academic Program Marketing at WKU is responsible for strategizing, developing, and implementing marketing plans for academic programs.
This includes integrating digital ads, website development, email campaigns, and print design into strategic marketing plans.
The role plays a critical part in supporting the mission of Academic Program Marketing, which aims to provide marketing and recruitment resources to WKU Academic Programs.
The primary goal of all efforts is to increase prospective student inquiries and ultimately enhance student matriculation, all while preserving the institution's brand integrity.
This position reports directly to the Director, Academic Program Marketing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institution needs.
- Supports the mission of Academic Program Marketing to develop and provide marketing and recruitment resources to WKU Academic Programs to increase prospective student inquiries and ultimately matriculation.
- Develops unique comprehensive marketing plans for academic programs and manages their timelines for maximum effectiveness.
- Develops and implements digital marketing campaigns that incorporate SEO, social media platform features, digital advertising strategies, and video campaigns.
- Creates graphics, email templates and various print marketing materials as needed to fulfill marketing plans.
- Works with program coordinators to design and maintain the integrity and content of academic program websites.
- Supports academic departments with converting program information into readable, easy-to-understand written content for maximum prospective student reach.
- Maintains communication with academic program coordinators regarding project progress to maintain collaboration.
- Records data including reach, spend, and outcomes of all projects to monitor effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Serves as CRM outreach liaison for Academic Programs including email and SMS management.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, print advertising, advertising, marketing, public relations, web design, business, professional writing, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in a professional team environment (i.e. giving and receiving feedback, working together to accomplish goals, and project collaboration)
- Strong writing and copywriting skills
- Proven website design capabilities
- Demonstrated expertise in design software
- Knowledge in content management systems and basic HTML
