Job Description :
Performs procedures as trained and appropriately credentialed.
Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Monitors effectiveness of plan of care.
Educates patients on disease and treatment plans.
Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents.
Collaborates and / or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
Actively participates in program building, and quality measurement and improvement measures.
Designs patient education programs that include information required to make informed health care and treatment decisions.
Evaluates goals and outcomes taking into account the benefit-versus-burden, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness for the patient, family and the organization.
Develops diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions needed to achieve the goals and outcomes of the patient’s plan of care.
Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Education :
Advanced degree (or equivalent, if license received prior to July 1, 2001) from an accredited school / college of nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).
Experience :
Experience in a procedural environment and / or performing procedures would be a benefit.
