Truck Driver (Year Round, Full-Time) -- Winchester

OBJECTIVE

The Box Truck Driver position is responsible for the efficient movement of inventory and merchandise between store locations.

When not actively delivering orders, communication and support of team members is key in the movement and display of inventory to offer customers the highest level of customer service.

• Demonstrates excellent driving skills by obeying traffic laws while accurately and efficiently delivering orders between various locations
• Assist team members in the loading and unloading of delivered materials consisting of loam, mulch, firewood, planters, plant materials, and trees.
• Maintain records of vehicle logs and deliveries to verify contents
• Complete routine inspection and cleaning of trucks
• Assist customers in transporting purchased goods from the property

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record for the past three years.

Must have no record of any DUIs and will be subject to a background check. Previous experience in the retail, horticultural, or gardening fields is preferred but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in an active retail store environment. This job may be either indoors or outdoors or both.

Flexible hours. Days and hours of work vary by schedule and season. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
