Job Title : Certified Phlebotomist
Job Type : Full Time
Location : Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic, Martinez, CA 94553
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m.
Duties :
- Verify patient identity by confirming two (2) patient identifiers (name, date of birth, and / or social security number) before collecting specimens.
- Perform venipuncture following published laboratory procedures.
- Collect adequate and properly labeled specimens.
- Perform waived and / or non-waived testing.
- Process specimens for testing and / or shipment to another laboratory.
Qualifications :
- Certification : Must hold and maintain a current certificate by the State of California as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
- Experience : Minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience performing venipunctures in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Health Tests : Current within one (1) year tuberculosis testing, rubella testing, and immunizations.
