Facilitate the patients office experience in being seamless and ensure the patient leaves well informed and prepared for their next appointment.
This includes ensuring the patient understands their treatment plan, the benefits of treatment, insurance benefits, assisting with financial arrangements and coordination of appointments.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following :
Prepare and present treatment plan and financial estimates to patients for all recommended treatment (IV / OR / PEDO PATIENTS).
Participate in IV / OR consults with the Dr.
Assist patients with financial arrangements
Schedule IV / OR patient appointments; reschedule patients that miss appointment and call patients that have not completed treatment (IV and OR)
Make sure the day of IV / OR patient has all consent forms signed
Provide parents of IV / OR patients with Post-Op instructions along with a gift for the patient before they leave
Process Pre-authorizations (OR)
Submit OR patients information to NCH portal
Handle all treatment paperwork, including consent forms, credit cards authorization form, medical clearance form, etc.
Weekly follow up IV / OR list with the Dr.
Assist with incoming calls, walk-outs, greeting patients at the window, scheduling appointments etc. as needed.
Assist with insurance verification
Other duties may be assigned
