Responsibilities

As Director for our Outpatient clinic, your responsibilities will be managing the overall leadership and operation of this clinic with the support of experienced administration, while providing outstanding care, as well as supervising both clinical and operational performance.

Come be an integral part of opening and managing a new facility with the leading practice in the area with over 30 years of dedicated service to the Southeastern Michigan communities!

  • Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
  • Review the Physician's referral (Prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required.
  • Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
  • Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
  • Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
  • Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and develops a comprehensive program to attain goals.
  • Implements physical therapy treatment program and provides essential physical therapy treatments.
  • Communicates effectively with patients / caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
  • Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
  • Oversee all assistant, technician, and student job assignments / activities.

Qualifications

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic.
  • Outgoing and energetic personality. Most importantly you need to have FUN while you work!
  • Ability to work closely with all clinic staff to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and create a world-class clinical team.
  • Must possess a Master of Physical Therapy Degree (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT)
  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current state of Michigan license or ability to obtain Michigan license and CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least two years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience in outpatient clinics, special certifications (OCS, CSCS, etc.) are welcome and familiar with the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Previous Marketing experience preferred
  • Exercise and manual based skills, and sports rehab.
  • All Physical Therapists must be licensed, or license eligible in the state they are applying.
