Responsibilities :
- Developand implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored tothe unique needs of eachstudent
- Design and deliverdifferentiated instruction to accommodate various learning stylesand abilities
- Utilize evidencebasedteaching strategies and resources to support student learning andgrowth
- Conduct assessments toidentify students strengths needs andprogress
- Regularly monitor anddocument student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instructionas needed
- Prepare and maintainaccurate records of student performance and communicate progress toparents and guardians
- Create apositive inclusive and supportive classroom environment thatpromotes student engagement andlearning
- Implement effectivebehaviour management strategies to support a safe and productivelearning environment
- Collaboratewith general education teachers specialists and support staff toprovide coordinated and comprehensive support forstudents
- Participate in IEP meetingsparentteacher conferences and other schoolrelated meetings todiscuss student progress andneeds
- Maintain open and effectivecommunication with parents guardians andcolleagues
- Engage in ongoingprofessional development to stay current with best practices inspecial education and instructionalstrategies
- Participate in schoolwidetraining and developmentopportunities
- Ensure compliance withall federal state and local regulations related to specialeducation
- Maintain thorough andaccurate documentation of student progress IEP implementation andany requiredreporting
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Master s degreepreferred)
- Valid Massachusettsteaching license in SpecialEducation
- Demonstrated experienceworking with students with diverse learning needs preferably in aschool setting
- Strong knowledgeof special education laws IEP developmentand instructional strategies for students withdisabilities
- Excellent communicationorganizational and interpersonalskills
- Ability to workcollaboratively with a team andindependently
