About The Position
Job Title : Level 2 RN - Acute Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine Job Specialty : Med / Surg RN Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Straight Nights, 3x12-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required License : RN License (only valid in New York) Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association - PALS / PEARS - Telemetry Experience Required Must-Have : - Recent pediatric experience preferred Job Description : Work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver care to a diverse patient group.
- Care for patients with conditions such as Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Trauma, Orthopedic and Neurological issues, Oncology, Pediatric care, Solid Organ Transplant, Heart Failure, and other medically complex cases.
- Provide both clinical support and emotional encouragement to patients and their families.- Adhere to unit policies regarding shifts, which include 8- and 12-hour rotations, along with holiday and weekend commitments.
- Opportunity to gain experience in pediatric care within an acute rehabilitation setting. Please prepare for rotations involving day, evening, and night shifts as part of the unit's policy.
