Business Development Representative

Rambus, a premier Chip, and Silicon IP provider is seeking to hire an exceptional Business Development Representative to join our Marketing and Operations team.

The selected candidate will be collaborating with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products within the Rambus Silicon IP Business Unit.

The candidate will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads for top of the marketing funnel. This position will be based in San Jose, CA.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers to drive top-of-the-funnel prospect generation
  • Qualify and route leads, and manage the top of the funnel
  • Follow-up on inbound product inquiries from website, tradeshows, webinars, and other marketing activities
  • Lead the prospect outreach (Cold-calling, E-mail, LinkedIn etc) by working in conjunction with sales
  • Route inquiries to the appropriate stakeholders & ensure they are addressed in a timely manner
  • Qualify leads from various sources, identify sales opportunities by using various data sources (ABM Intent data, MQL scores, Lead activity etc), and ensure effective handoffs of these leads to sales
  • Analyze patterns (personas, verticals, technology etc) from incoming prospects and segment them accordingly
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop strategies to nurture these prospects with targeted contextual content
  • Identify key decision makers at target accounts
  • Write hyper-personalized outreach emails to prospects depending on company size, persona, & segment
  • Measure, analyze, monitor and act :
  • Put the right data-driven KPIs in place to measure if existing strategies are effective and implement feedback loops to learn & improve continuously
  • Communicate periodically with the right stakeholders to manage and align expectations
  • Ensure account activity is updated in CRM
  • Drive alignment and accountability across all stakeholders to ensure they leverage the tools and follow the process
  • Be a strong partner to sales and make them more effective by leveraging automation as much as possible
  • Stay on top of new feature availability in CRM, funnel management, and marketing automation tools. Influence stakeholders through cost / benefit analysis to get the relevant features implemented
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to research and develop target lists, outreach strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities and lead generation
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams : sales, marketing, marcom & product management to drive content development for top of the funnel

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in business development, sales or related field experience
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced cross-functional environment. First principles thinking to solve problems
  • Experience in researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of prospect accounts
  • Track record of achieving sales metrics consistently
  • Bonus : Experience with Salesforce and 6sense

Rambus offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program, and gym membership.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $61,700.00 to $114,500.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
