Job Description
Our client in Auburndale, FL is looking for a Supervisor for their Distribution Center. The role is an onsite position and is available for 1st or 3rd shift.
The Contract to Hire role will pay up to $75K DOE.
As a DC Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Your primary focus will be on providing direct supervision to distribution center personnel and guiding their performance based on KPI's .
You will play a crucial role in training, motivating, and developing personnel to maximize productivity and quality. Additionally, you will be involved in monitoring adherence to work schedules and implementing best practices to optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement training programs for personnel, with a focus on safety training.
- Manage the performance of direct reports through regular performance reviews, coaching, and audits.
- Supervise daily volumes and activities to meet operating objectives and performance standards.
- Prioritize inventory-related activities, including parts inspections and cycle counts.
- Develop and implement plans for resource allocation and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and established work processes.
- Assist in space utilization planning and budget development.
- Ensure a safe work environment.
Work Schedule :
Must be available for 1st Shift (3 : 00 am - 1 : 00 pm) OR 3rd Shift (2 : 30 pm - 12 : 00 am).
Required Qualifications :
Education :
- High School Diploma is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience :
- 2-4 years of frontline supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a Distribution Center, Warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
Skills :
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
