About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12hr Night Shift (36 hours / week) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent ED experience License : Registered Nurse License Certifications : - Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - Preferred : TNCC, CPI / MOAB, CEN Must-Have : - General ED skills - Strong IV skills - Cardiac rhythm interpretation / monitoring - Foley placement / management - NGT placement / management - Knowledgeable in STEMI / CVA / Sepsis treatments - Medication titration skills Job Description : - Provide care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatric, including 10%-15% pediatric patients- Address various patient conditions such as chest pain, dizziness, syncope, strokes, sepsis, ortho, respiratory distress / failure, STEMI, COVID- Conduct behavioral health-medical clearance as necessary- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 during night shifts- Utilize technology and equipment including EMR (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis for medication dispensing- Participate in a dynamic team with support from CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, educators, and a specialist team available 24 / 7- Be flexible with floating based on facility needs, working as helping hands or taskers- Participate in a 6-week scheduling cycle, with a weekend rotation and holiday expectations- Wear professional scrubs in any color, excluding camo, denim, or hoodiesThis position offers an exciting opportunity for registered nurses seeking experience in a busy emergency department setting with a strong support system and the chance to work in a diverse and challenging clinical environment.
