Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Account Manager to support our Business Development Manager in Eden Prairie, MN. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and expand relationships with our existing client base, support new business opportunities, and develop accurate quotes for projects.

This role involves selling and supporting physical security solutions aimed at enhancing building safety and security.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the management and support of new and existing client relationships, working closely with the Business Development Manager.
  • Support the sales process by developing and presenting proposals for physical security and other low voltage solutions.
  • Understand client key business objectives to develop tailored account-based sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with clients, ensuring continuous support and service.
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding sales targets while adhering to gross margin expectations.
  • Help manage the sales pipeline and forecast accurately according to the sales guidelines.
  • Produce quotes, assist in proposal development, and respond to RFPs alongside the Business Development Manager.
  • Utilize pre-sales engineering resources effectively to support solution positioning and deal closure.

Sales Skills :

  • Proven ability to support relationships within the physical security market.
  • Highly motivated with excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to articulate clear value propositions to clients.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Keen curiosity to explore and develop improved solutions.
  • Strong commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Technical Skills :

  • Solid understanding of surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Knowledge of the physical security market and industry manufacturers.
  • Experience supporting integrated solutions involving surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and intrusion detection.
  • Basic networking (TCP / IP) knowledge and understanding of structured cabling supporting security systems.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years in a support role within the physical security or related industry, or 2+ years in a sales role with physical security systems.
  • Willingness for regional and occasional national travel.
