Huron Community Bank is seeking an experienced Branch Manager

Basic Purpose :

Develop and enhance customer account relationships through the, referral, sale and cross sell of Huron Community

Bank products and services. Direct the operations and personnel of assigned branch office(s) to ensure compliance

to bank policies, audit standards, compliance with Federal / State regulations, participate in the selection, hiring,

termination, development and evaluations of branch staff.

Principal Accountabilities :

Direct the day to day operations of assigned branch office(s). Ensure security procedures and policies are

adhered to and that adequate staff is present to assure quality customer service while maintaining a

professional working relationship with co-workers. Including, but not limited to the following :

  • PB cash exposure, cash audits, approving checks for cashing, signing various official bank checks and drafts, accepting wire transfers and preparing appropriate documentation, assuring accurate and timely preparation of branch reports.
  • Provide excellence in customer service by consistently applying the HCB Service Excellence Standards, exceeding customer expectations at each and every interaction
  • Promote the sale and usage of HCB products and services by :
  • Interviewing customers to assess needs and explain products and services, as well as cross sell additional

products and services at every opportunity.

Create, implement and monitor in branch sales initiatives for the purpose of meeting customer needs and

increased penetration in the markets we serve.

  • Guide and direct staff to insure attainment of goals established at all levels, attain projected branch and individual sales goals.
  • Participate in all bank initiated campaigns and events.
  • Open new commercial and consumer deposit accounts by obtaining all essential documentation, filling out

and processing paperwork and / or data processing information as necessary

Assist consumer loan applicants by explaining the various types of consumer loans offered by HCB,

completing loan applications, and obtaining all essential documentation needed to approve and secure the

loan

Manage branches business banking portfolio, while partnering with the Commercial Lenders and Head of

Retail Banking. Achieve business calling and cross sales goals. Prospect for new business relationships.

Provide additional customer services such as initiate wire transfers, handle HCB bank stock transactions,

open / close / allow entry to safe deposit boxes, provide Notary & Signature Guarantee Services, issue / redeem

foreign drafts and collection items (e.g. bonds & coupons)

  • Develop, implement and participate in a viable customer / prospective customer call program.
  • Provide customers with mortgage / installment loan services (includes application acceptance, loan analysis,

loan approval) and credit card lending.

Determine and implement all existing and new branch operating procedures / bank services and / or products

to improve customer service.

Select, train, develop, motivate and evaluate branch staff members. Recommend salary increases,

promotions, transfers and terminations.

  • Develop and adhere to annual branch budget, responding in written form to variances incurred.
  • Oversee the approval or disapproval of NSF checks and / or uncollected funds on DDA accounts as outlined in

the bank loan policy.

  • Participate in community organizations or service clubs to foster goodwill.
  • Active participation in community sponsored events and active involvement in community. Pro-active

ambassadorship on behalf of HCB, promoting HCB as a community bank, establishing new professional

relationships and enhancing existing relationships through networking and a commitment to the community.

  • Assures physical property and equipment is adequate and in proper working order.
  • Ensures compliance / adherence to all policies, procedures and federal regulations in order to attain a

satisfactory or better branch audit. Maintains confidentiality of all customer records and documents.

  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned by Head of Retail Banking or other Bank Officer.
  • Report to work on time and maintain good attendance is an essential function of your job and necessary for

our bank to operate efficiently.
