Job Title : Public Sector Sales Engineer - Global Salesforce
What You'll Do
Slalom is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the Global Salesforce Public Sector business.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven, seasoned Salesforce specialist with a proven track record of providing presales technical / functional expertise as required throughout the sales cycle, including delivering high quality Salesforce presentations and demonstrations.
This role will also serve as a subject matter expert on implementation projects. This role requires a detail-oriented, collaborative, and motivated individual who will support the growth of Slalom's business while working with Salesforce public sector client prospects, Slalom market pursuit teams, and Slalom's project teams.
This individual will be responsible for supporting the Public Sector Global Sales team in business development, thought leadership and partner enablement activities, contribute to various phases of the pursuit lifecycle, as well as perform project work in a billable capacity 25% of the time.
In this role, the Public Sector Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients, partners, internal markets by developing and delivering high quality Salesforce demonstrations / presentations, and support Market teams during delivery.
Our Global Salesforce team is looking to add a passionate Principal or Senior Principal to take on the role of Sales Engineer within our Public Sector practice.
Responsibilities
Develop and perform advanced level demonstrations of Salesforce solutions specifically tailored to use cases based on a defined set of requirements;
requirements may be received as RFx requirements, client discoveries, industry trends, thought leadership and GTM plays.
Conducting discovery sessions with customers and prospects to understand their current business challenges and future objectives and goals.
Strategize and present on how Salesforce can be used to solve those challenges.
- Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, as well as the art of what's possible during presentations.
- Provide training and mentorship to less experienced consultants while managing that team during the demo build project(s).
- Contribute to RFx solution content.
- Curate and maintain the Public Sector developed assets to create GTM strategies.
- Provide insight in advanced business analysis to billable projects, conduct needs assessments, configure apps as required.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Thorough knowledge of Salesforce Public Sector Solutions application design.
- Skilled in analyzing RFXs requirements and determining use cases to meet client needs.
- Minimum of 5 years of consultant experience in the public sector is ideal.
- Exceptional writing, editing / formatting, organization, and time management skills.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Excellent people skills - able to work with teams of varying sizes, technical abilities, and all levels of authority internally and externally.
- Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking abilities - able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In Denver, the base salary pay range for this position at Principal level is $112,000-$179,000 and at Senior Principal level is $132,000-$211,000.
In Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Seattle, the base salary pay range for this position at Principal level is $122,000-$195,000 and at Senior Principal level is $144,000-$230,000.
In New York City and San Francisco, the base salary pay range for this position at Principal level is $133,000-213,000 and at Senior Principal level is $157,000-$251,000.
In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
