Parker - Machine Operator I

Roles and Responsibilities :

Uses basic processes to set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools to form and / or machine aerospace quality detail hardware.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform well defined setups and non-complex operations using engine lathes, milling machines, punch press, forming press, shear, press brake, expander and / or other machinery on production hardware.
• Detect faulty processes.
• Interpret and follow basic written instructions, sketches, drawings and documents.
• Use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality of parts.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
• Work under direct oversight.

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma OR GED required

• Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.
• Knows when to stop and ask for clarification.
• Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with machines.
• Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity.
• Required to perform shop mathematics associated with machining operations.
• May have a demonstrated expertise in a particular machine type, or work on one single purpose machine.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses / full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The machine operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to pounds, balancing and handling of material.

Working Conditions

Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses / full face shield, hearing protection, heat reflective body garments and gloves as required.

Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Range :

The pay range for this position is $.-$ per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
