Spectrum Environmental, Inc., an established firm spanning more than 30 years in business and with offices in Mobile, Alabama;
Birmingham, Alabama; and Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a motivated individual with demonstrated technical experience coupled with the ability to provide positive leadership to a team of multi-faceted environmental professionals.
The successful candidate should be a great communicator in all aspects, possess characteristics of a servant leader, and be well respected in the environmental consulting industry.
Though we expect the chosen candidate to further define, develop, and lead in their role, we provide the following as a framework of what will be expected of this individual :
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field of study and three (3) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience;
- Exhibit a verifiable understanding of field techniques related to WOTUS delineation, mapping, and reporting;
- Demonstrate a record of working through the Corps of Engineers various permitting processes, including RGPs, NWPs, and Standard Permits as well as TDEC General and Individual ARAPs;
- Ability to communicate an understanding and involvement in the determination of mitigation requirements and options for providing mitigation solutions;
- Demonstrate a current relationship with representatives of Corps, TDEC, and other regulatory agencies built on mutual respect;
- A general understanding of associated regulatory requirements, inclusive of stormwater compliance, ASTM standards for property transactions, and contamination assessments;
- The ability to communicate and engage with clients in helping move tasks and projects through to the unique identified objective;
- Provide technical oversight and review, professional development of current staff, and general coordination of the office activities;
- A strong desire and experience in providing leadership through a positive, engaged leadership style for a team of four to six environmental professionals involved in the variety of environmental consulting areas mentioned above;
- A driven personality that looks to have a long-lasting impact on the individuals with whom they interact and who seeks to build a strong future within the Spectrum Organization; and
- Be willing to take on other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Conditions - Any offer of employment is subject to the results of a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and review of Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and background check.
Salary - Commensurate with experience.
