The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial reporting, along with strong leadership skills.
As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of our monthly financial close, as well as managing a team of skilled professionals.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and providing strategic insights to support decision-making at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting and Analysis :
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP principles.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into the company's financial performance and trends.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior management and board of directors.
Team Leadership :
Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
Month-End and Year-End Close :
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely submission of necessary financial data and reports.
Internal Controls and Compliance :
Develop and implement robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate successful audits and reviews.
Process Improvement :
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the accounting function to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Lead or contribute to projects aimed at improving financial reporting systems and procedures.
Financial Planning and Budgeting :
Contribute to the annual budgeting process by providing historical financial data, insights, and recommendations.Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
