Registered Nurse

Position : Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule : 32 hours per week; Monday - Thursday week one, Tuesday - Friday week two. The schedule will then alternate. We also offer flexible shifts for nurses interested in working per diem.

Pay : Up to $44 / hr

Location : Essex, CT

Essex Meadows isseeking hospitality focused Registered Nurses to join our team on a per diam basis! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his / her shift.
• Administers direct care as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications to patients.
• Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Responds to resident emergency call system.
• Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
• Shares on-call duties with designated staff.

Qualifications :

• All nurses must be currently licensed in the state of CT. Must have current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
