Full-time
We are sorry. The job offer you are looking for is no longer available.

IXL Learning, a leading EdTech company with products used by 14 million students worldwide, is seeking a Product Manager, Communications & Special Projects.

This position is a key business partner and works with just about every team across IXL, including Product Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Customer Support, and Professional Learning.

This high-visibility role also interfaces heavily with IXL executive leadership, and reports directly to the VP of Product.

Submit your CV and any additional required information after you have read this description by clicking on the application button.

The ideal candidate is analytical, solutions-minded, and action-oriented someone who thrives in highly collaborative environments.

You are an exceptional communicator, with an ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable way to various audiences.

You’re just as comfortable conducting product training for a new employee as you are speaking with leaders at the country's largest school districts about IXL.

You are a strategic business thinker who wants to dive in and problem solve. You are customer-obsessed, and you enjoy finding (sometimes creative and unique) ways to solve user problems with existing teams and tools.

Though you will work very closely with product managers, you understand that product value doesn’t always mean developing more features.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule in our San Mateo, CA office.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the IXL product and its myriad applications, benefits, and abilities
  • Become fluent in how the IXL product can be configured and used to address specific customer needs
  • Partner with Product and Marketing to develop and execute launch plans, making it easy for all users to discover, understand, and use new features (especially in conjunction with the product offering as a whole)
  • Serve as central command for communication around product launches
  • Organize, develop, and institute business processes / workflows (or modifications to existing ones) that sustain the product throughout and beyond launch
  • Serve as the product expert in various settings : manage product launch activities, provide internal product training, represent the product on sales calls, help our contracts team respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), and more
  • Partner with customer-facing team leaders and product managers to identify, understand, and propose strategic product enhancements and / or key use cases based on customer feedback
  • Be responsible for a sophisticated set of demo accounts and data that empower sales and support teams to effectively represent the IXL product in customer-facing settings

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager is ideal, but will also consider a mix of product and solutions-oriented experience
  • Some experience and / or familiarity with K-12 education in the United States is preferred (classroom, volunteer, school administration, etc.)
  • Experience with complex B2B products is preferred, especially on the product and / or operations side
  • Experience in technical sales roles is a bonus, especially in enterprise settings and / or with complex user types

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 to $180,000 + equity + benefits.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
