Position : Training Specialist
Duration : 6-month contract to hire
Location : Warrendale, PA, 15086
Pay : 35-50 / hr; based on experience
Must-Haves :
- Bachelors in engineering or a related field or 5-10 years of equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience evaluating, testing, installing, or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment.
- Looking for people that have operated electrical equipment or have done preventative maintenance.
- Experience doing insolation testing and primary circuit resistance testing.
- Knowledge of difference between switch boards and switch gear
- Knowledge of panel boards
Plusses :
- Experience with Navy Nuke or Army Prime
- Someone in a leadership / teaching role
Day to Day :
- Be responsible for the development, delivery, and facilitation of instructor-led and virtual technical, safety, and power systems trainings.
- Be a contributing member of the EESS training department, supporting and coordinating training events, including but not limited to, set-up, scheduling, travel, equipment, and material needs in conjunction with training coordinators and other personnel.
- Create, maintain, and update curricula, lesson plans, and classroom reference materials.
- Work closely and collaborate with EHS, HR, and Operations leaders to ensure the employee training and learning experience aligns with safety, onboarding, and technical upskilling needs.
- Be responsible for student evaluations, course evaluations, cost tracking, and continuous improvement efforts within training programs
- Be expected to apply knowledge of safe electrical work practices as described in National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standard 70E and OSHA 1910 Subpart S.
- Support in-person training in other Eaton hub locations such as Houston, TX, or Chicago, IL on an as-needed basis.
