Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Quality & Contin Improvement Engineer opportunity with our client in Merritt Island, FL.
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelors of Engineering degree.
- 2-5 years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and / or related quality systems and programs.
- Ability to support manufacturing schedules (first or second shift) and overtime on as needed basis.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
Desired Qualifications :
- American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
- Experience in Aerospace, space launch, military / commercial aviation highly preferred.
- Experience with IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum)
- Experience with IPC 620 standard (IPC-WHMA-A-620)
- Experience in GD&T fundamentals
- Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action
- Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem solving approaches
- Quality Management System audit experience
- Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
- Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.

- Pay Range : $44-48 / hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.
