Job Description
As a Major Deal Pursuit Leader, you'll drive the sales process and outcomes on a dedicated basis for major managed services and outsourced deals, grow a profitable pipeline, and close major Information and Communications Technology (ICT) deals with a valuation greater than thirty-five million dollars (Total Contract Value) through deal origination, sales negotiations, and closure.
You'll establish the deal direction and manage the deliverance of the assigned pursuit roles, achieving order, revenue, deal margin, and cost objectives.
You'll also contribute to the firm's growth and development through world-class deal creation and management.
- Leading engagement planning and budgeting.
- Mobilizing and managing deal teams.
- Defining deliverable structure and content.
- Facilitating buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.
- Directing on-time, quality delivery of work products.
- Managing engagement economics.
- Managing engagement risk.
- Managing day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
- Participating in business development and maintaining contact with executive decision-makers at key clients.
- Organizing and leading pursuit teams.
- Participating and leading aspects of the proposal development process.
- Contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
You'll need to have :
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and / or military experience, or specialized training.
- Experience in outsourcing, out-tasking, and / or off-shoring negotiations / deals.
- Line / matrix management experience with significant (30 or more) multi-function teams e.g. legal, bid management, commercial, operations etc.
- Experience in leading and closing at least one complex network integration deal with TCV of twenty-five million dollars or more, involving at least two or more of the following : people / asset transfer, contract innovations, partner services, and multi-country requirements, and / or leading, implementing, and operationally managing similar transactions as the end-user.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% or less.
- A valid Driver's License.
Even better if you have :
- MS degree in Engineering or another technical discipline.
- MBA degree.
- Six or more years of industry experience in networked IT services / telecoms, having both domestic and international responsibilities.
- Six or more years of fifty million dollar annual revenue / cost responsibilities.
- Experience and credibility in successfully working with and presenting to executive board level leaders in large, publicly traded organizations.
- Experience as lead / second chair business case development and subsequent commercial contracting / negotiating expertise.
The location is flexible to any valid Verizon location.
