Job Title : Medical-Surgical Neuro Registered Nurse (Med-Surg Neuro RN)
Location : Ft. Walton Bch, FL
Job Type : Full Time, Permanent.
Responsibilities :
- Provide patient-centered care to individuals with neurological conditions in a Med-Surg setting.
- Monitor and assess patients' neurological and physical conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including neurologists, surgeons, and therapists, to create and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, post-surgery care, and rehabilitation strategies.
- Utilize critical thinking and advanced nursing skills to respond to emergencies and changes in patients' conditions.
- Document all care provided and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications :
1 year of Acute Care RN experience Required
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida , Multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
BLS, (AHA Healthcare provider) required prior to start
NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
