Seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver who also possesses expertise in truck maintenance and mechanical operations. This position combines the responsibilities of driving commercial vehicles with the ability to perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and make minor repairs to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of our fleet.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both driving and mechanical work, with a commitment to safety, reliability, and exceptional service delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and conduct minor repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other truck components.
- Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition before and after each trip, performing necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members regarding delivery schedules, routes, and vehicle status.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of commercial vehicle operations.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and independently.

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed (however, hours are primarily a Monday Thursday day shift position).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Certification in diesel mechanics or related field.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
