About The Position

00 per week Experience : 2 years of experience in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory License : Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RICS) Certifications : ARRT, BLS, ACLS, RCIS / RCES (CCI) Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular / Cardiopulmonary Technology, The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Nursing, or a related field.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Job Description : Provides professional care in the Invasive Cardiac Pediatric and Peripheral Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Works at any designated location on a temporary operational need, training basis, or semi-permanent assignment.- Assists in maintaining a safe work environment while performing all related job responsibilities safely.
- Maintains clinical and professional competency relevant to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served.
- Assists unit efforts in performance excellence, growth, quality, customer service, employee engagement, and community benefit.
- Represents the system's core values : caring, commitment, integrity, teamwork, safety, communication, and service recovery.
- Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, understanding that every staff member is a caregiver whose role is to meet the needs of each patient.
- Performs care for the comfort and well-being of the patient.- Performs and / or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant monitoring and circulating) under the physician's direction.
- Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician.- Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record.
- Maintains physical requirements such as intermittent to rapid pace, high-pressure situations, and prolonged concentration and critical thinking.
- Handles periods of walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and / or unit conditions.- Potential exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood.
- Standing and walking while wearing 10 20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons.
