Job Description : We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide prehensive speech and language services to students in New York.
As an SLP, you will play a vital role in supporting students' munication skills, academic achievement, and overall success in school.
You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to address students' individual needs and promote a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and munication skills
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' munication disorders and delays
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' academic progress and participation in the classroom
- Consult with parents and caregivers to provide education and support related to speech and language development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment results, progress reports, and therapy sessions
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in speech-language pathology and relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid certification or licensure as an SLP in New York
- Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
