Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team! Responsibilities Report to the Independence Tooling Operations Manager and receive direction from the CNC Leader.
Operate mills and CNC machines to fabricate precise components. Strategize machining operations based on specific work orders and detailed blueprints.
Accurately set up mills, ensuring proper alignment of vices and materials for efficient machining. Comply with all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery. Maintain thorough documentation to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
Analyze 3D CAD designs to outline programming sequences and material cutting paths. Translate machining instructions into CAM programs.
Execute job orders and perform necessary calculations. Innovate and optimize programming for enhanced operational efficiency.
Expertly program 3-Axis, 3+2 Axis, and 5 Axis machines using WorkNC software. Qualifications Proven expertise in CNC machining and programming.
Proficiency in operating and programming 3 Axis, 3+2 Axis, and 5 Axis Machines. Mandatory experience with WorkNC Programming.
Knowledge of Fanuc controllers. Flexibility to work additional hours when required and manage varying work volumes. Preferred Qualifications Industry experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense sectors.
Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
