YOUR ROLE
The role involves overseeing Facility & Infrastructure Management, General Facilities & Operations Management, EHS Program Development & Management as well as Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance.
Emphasis is on maintaining a zero-incident safety culture, managing 5S Culture and ensuring compliance with permits, safety plans & Henkel EHS mandates.
General Facilities, Operations, and Infrastructure Management
Manages & maintains capital projects for critical facility infrastructure and safety programs.
Develops & supervises execution of facilities preventive maintenance plans.
Manages company car pool program, electric vehicle charging & calibration systems.
Ensures security measures for the workplace, collaborating with internal security and system vendors.
Oversees day-to-day operations, including shipping, receiving & inventory management, monitoring safety & cleanliness of interior / exterior areas & manage cleaning / maintenance tasks.
Manages space planning, budgets & construction projects within the facility.
Responsible for fire life and safety systems, multiple site locations, laboratory design & new employee orientation programs.
EHS Program Development and Management-develops & implements site programs, policies & procedures conforming to Henkel EHS mandates.
Evaluates proposed projects & new chemicals for EHS compliance.
Conducts safety inspections, ensuring documentation & corrective actions for deficiencies. Investigates incidents / accidents / near misses, determines root causes & implements corrective action plans.
Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance-Lead projects for continuous improvement in the "Zero Incident Safety Culture" program, manage 5S Culture, ensuring a zero-incident EHS culture site-wide.
Prepare & submit environmental permits, renewals & routine agency reports.
Develop & maintain safety plans, metrics & emergency response plans; update internal databases.
YOUR SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Industrial Engineering, Biological Science, Safety Science, Business Administration or Management from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of office Facilities experience
California regulatory experience.
Experience in Digital EH&S applications (e.g. : Training, Compliance, Inspections)
Good communication and presentation skills. Position interacts with all levels in the organization from laboratory employees to legal, to corporate executives.
In addition, position will interact with external parties including government officials as required.
Capable of being self-managed, prioritizing work and often formulating deadlines for activities and projects
Comfortable spending most of the time in the Laboratory environment.
The salary for thisrole is $112,000 - $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipaterelying on when setting wages for this position.
We may ultimately paymore or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range mayalso be modified in the future.
