7 : 00pm 7 : 00am, Rotating weekendsLabor & Delivery Department highlights : · 375 400 deliveries per month· Level IV Maternal Designation· The only Maternal Transport Team at Texas Health· Long tenured teamHere’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required· BSN preferred· 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required· 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferredRN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req AndBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req AndNRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Req AndACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req AndIFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring not required for Admissions Nursery 12 Months Req AndNRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Req AndCPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days ReqWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
