Job Specific Duties :
- Event Coordination and Leadership : Lead setup and delivery of catering events, demonstrating creativity in food presentations, and guiding the team.
- Inventory Management and Recommendations : Oversee equipment stock, make purchasing recommendations, and manage inventory.
- Menu Planning Collaboration : Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning for events, providing leadership and insight.
- Quality Control and Timeliness Oversight : Ensure product quality and timely service delivery, offering guidance and support to team members.
- Industry Awareness : Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, sharing knowledge with the kitchen team in our client Healthcare facility.
- Client Meetings and Survey Reporting : Participate in client meetings, report survey results, and ensure customer satisfaction alongside the supervisor and manager.
- Equipment Maintenance and Storage Organization : Supervise catering equipment maintenance and storage area cleanliness and organization.
- Compliance and Safety : Ensure adherence to departmental policies, HACCP / Food Safety procedures, and safe driving practices among the team.
- Versatile Role : Assume various roles to support overall kitchen operations when not engaged in catering events, providing leadership as needed with the Front of the House staffs.
- Additional Responsibilities : Fulfill assigned duties to meet departmental goals and objectives, supporting the supervisor and manager as necessary.
What you will need :
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or Education.
- Experience with catering or food service required, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Physical capability to lift and carry trays and navigate hospital corridors.
- Basic understanding of dietary restrictions and food safety principles.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in patient care or customer service is advantageous.
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient satisfaction.
