About The Role
As a Senior Product Manager at POSH, you’ll join an intimate, high-performing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the live experience world.
Your work will directly influence our product strategy and execution, from ideating new features for event organizers to refining our core platform capabilities.
The POSH product ranges from a two-sided mobile app spanning consumer social features and event management to a robust web application that encompasses financial and marketing tools for businesses.
Your work will span across this ecosystem and will require a deep understanding and balance of prioritizing a diverse group of user archetypes.
This is an in-person position at our New York City office located in the heart of SoHo.
At a high level, you’ll be in charge of
Developing and Executing Product Strategies : Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive product strategies that align with POSH’s vision and business objectives.
Define and communicate product roadmaps, prioritizing features based on customer needs, business value, and long-term impact.
Driving Research, Market Insights, and Company Strategy : Gather and analyze market data, customer feedback, and user research to inform product decisions.
Use these insights to tackle ambiguous or complex problems that cut across multiple domains and influence higher-level company strategies.
Leading Product Development and Cross-Functional Collaboration : Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams.
Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products, and collaborate deeply with your counterparts to drive high-quality solutions and identify opportunities to pivot when necessary.
Owning and Defining Metrics : Establish and own key performance metrics, consistently delivering on critical projects that have a measurable impact at the appropriate quality bar.
Develop a sophisticated understanding of why specific initiatives succeed or fail, and use this knowledge to guide future decisions.
Anticipating and Resolving Trade-Offs : Proactively address difficult trade-off decisions, run towards misalignment, and find creative solutions that empower your team to overcome challenges.
Ensure that decisions made across teams are aligned and support the overall goals of the organization.
Providing Leadership and Expertise : Engage deeply with your team and across departments, providing leadership on complex, cross-functional matters.
Leverage your high level of expertise in your product area to guide decisions and contribute significantly to the business impact.
Coaching and Improving Team Expertise : Help improve the overall expertise of your team by coaching, influencing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Extend your deep professional knowledge beyond your current responsibilities to enhance the team's capabilities.
Stakeholder Management and Communication : Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership and partners.
Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and results to various audiences, ensuring alignment and transparency across the organization.
Our ideal candidate
- Has 5+ years of product management experience, preferably at a marketplace or consumer social startup.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Has experience leading and shipping large initiatives with high business impact.
- Is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Has excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proven experience managing priorities between cross-functional partners.
- Values feedback and constructive criticism, and is always looking for ways to improve.
- Is familiar with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Productboard, Linear or similar.
- Has a track record of delivering successful products that drive business growth.
