Job Title : Unarmed Security Officer
Location : Niles, Illinois
Job Type : Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Schedule : All Shifts Available (Days / Afternoons / Overnights)
Salary : $18.50 An Hour
Description : We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer. In this role, you will be tasked with safeguarding our client’s property, personnel, and assets.
The ideal candidate will have sharp observation skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Thoroughly inspect the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and access points are securely locked.
- Respond swiftly to requests for assistance or emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and accidents.
- Keep detailed logs and reports of security incidents, disturbances, and other significant events during shifts.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and state / federal regulations to ensure security standards and compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of security procedures, emergency responses, and applicable laws.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management.
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
- Completion of a 20-hour state certification and a valid PERC card.
- Solid understanding of legal regulations governing security and public safety.
- Skilled in report writing.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
Valid Drivers License
Dependable transportation.
High School diploma is required; further education in security administration or a similar field is preferred
