Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant :
Support physicians and nurses during medical examinations and procedures.
Record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and weight.
Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
Gather and prepare laboratory samples for testing.
Conduct routine laboratory tests such as blood draws, EKGs, and urine analysis.
Requirements of the Medical Assistant :
At least 12 months of experience in the healthcare industry is necessary.
Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical software, and basic medical equipment operation is required.
Must be willing to work at both Providence and East Greenwich offices as needed.
Salary :
$20.00 to $23.00 / hour
