Physical Education Teacher

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide services to students in individual small group orclassroom settings.
• Provideconsultative services to regular educators and buildinglevelsupport teams. Consultation may include assisting in modifying thecurriculum and adapting materials.
• Participate in the identification process of specialeducation students by serving on a multidisciplinary team inaccordance with federal and state proceduralguidelines.
• Develop IndividualEducation Plans for students with disabilities to include parentcontact scheduling and facilitating meetings and completion of allpaperwork as required according to federal and state proceduralguidelines.
• The case manager isresponsible for monitoring IEP compliance. Keep special educationfiles current and filed in the school and UVSE offices.

A workingfile in the special education classroom isallowable.

• Maintain a record ofprogress toward goals and objectives. This includescharting.
• Provide onsite trainingand oversee paraeducators in accordance with the recommendedprocedures from DPI.
• Follow currentprocedures specific to the UVSE unit.
• Attend meetings as determined by the Director of SpecialEducation.
• Other such duties asassigned by the Director of SpecialEducation.
• Communicate with outsideagencies.

SPECIFICDUTIES :

• Serve as aliaison on behalf of students on issues related to medicationoutside therapies juvenile court matters and other needs as deemednecessary to promote student success in educational and communitysettings.
• Manage specific healthcare needs.
• Arrange job trainingprograms within the community or the school to include identifyingjob sites and arranging job coaching when applicable.

Requirements

• Meet Teaching Qualifications in HomeCountry.
• Possess proficientEnglish language and communicate with others without any languageBarriers.
• Currently work as aschool teacher in Home Country.
• Possess a degree equivalent to a 4 year bachelors degree.
• Have experience that issufficient in the state where the job will be held.
• Enter the United States withthe sole purpose of teaching full time.
• Meet TeachingQualifications in Home Country.
• Possess proficient Englishlanguage, and communicate with others without any languageBarriers.
• Currently work as a school teacher in Home Country. *Possess a degree equivalent to a 4 year bachelors degree.
• Haveexperience that is sufficient in the state where the job will beheld.
• Enter the United States with the sole purpose of teachingfull time.
